Whitecroft Lighting – The Leading Light in London’s Tech City
- Posted on July 7 2016
Further enhancing Whitecroft’s specialist portfolio in the London arena, the team have secured another landmark development – Old Street Yard.
This new site spans almost 300,000 square feet in the heart of the capital’s ‘Tech City’ and includes a new concept from Derwent London – The ‘White Collar Factory’ (www.whitecollarfactory.com/space).
This vast site creates a new home for creative and digital corporations alike, offering stylish offices, retail space, campus buildings as well as a number of high end residential units.
Whitecroft Lighting’s involvement came about in 2014 when the team were asked to develop a luminaire that met the needs of a commercial environment but with the aesthetics of an industrial style fitting. With such vast expertise in both sectors Whitecroft Lighting created an industrialized tubular luminaire incorporating flat bedded louvres and steel fabricated embellishments – a design very much in harmony with the sites’ industrial character.
In total, Whitecroft have supplied over 2000 of these bespoke fittings with installation currently underway. The scheme is on track for occupancy as early as August 2016.
