Choose a supplier with SBTi approved targets

Net zero graphic

The Fagerhult Group has set near and long-term goals to reduce direct and indirect GHG emissions.

The near-term targets are set to reduce emissions by 70 percent in Scope 1 and Scope 2, and by 30 percent in Scope 3 by 2030, from the baseline year 2021. The Group has also set out a long-term science-based target to become net-zero by 2045.

Our science-based commitment

Our net-zero targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), confirming that our decarbonisation pathway aligns with climate science and the goals of the Paris Agreement.

This means our approach to lighting is shaped by:

  • Near-term emissions reduction targets
  • A long-term net-zero ambition
  • Clear accountability and continuous improvement

Why this matters to you

Facilities managers, contractors and consultants are under growing pressure to deliver lighting solutions that:

  • Support organisational net-zero and carbon reduction targets
  • Stand up to scrutiny from clients, auditors and stakeholders
  • Perform reliably across the full building lifecycle

Choosing partners whose climate commitments are approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) helps reduce risk and improve confidence in delivery.

How we support SBTi-aligned lighting projects

We help teams translate climate ambition into practical, real-world lighting decisions, from early design to long-term operation and end of life.

  • Our lighting solutions are designed to reduce emissions across the full lifecycle. From materials and manufacturing, through installation and energy-efficient operation, to end-of-life considerations. Helping you to make decisions aligned with near-term and long-term net-zero targets.
  • We provide transparent, decision-ready sustainability information including Environment Product Declarations (EPDs) and Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), making it easier for you to select lighting solutions that harmonise compliance, performance, and organisational climate goals.
  • Our solutions are built for real-world delivery: simple to install, maintain, and operate. Facilities managers and contractors can trust that lighting projects will perform reliably while supporting net-zero objectives.
  • We help align design, procurement, and operational teams so sustainability intentions are delivered, not diluted. Early collaboration reduces friction, prevents rework, and supports smoother project delivery.
  • Our approach prepares buildings and lighting systems for future-proof performance. With longevity, adaptability, and ongoing alignment with science-based targets, teams can confidently plan upgrades and retrofits with net zero goals in mind.
