  • Posted on November 20 2023

On November 15th, we celebrated the graduation of 15 apprentices at Whitecroft who worked hard to earn their Level 3 and Level 5 qualifications through Nine Dots, the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), and the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH).

The graduation day was organised to celebrate the successful completion of learner’s respective courses, reflecting on the challenges they have overcome throughout their journeys, balancing career development with their daily responsibilities.

To continue to encourage growth and tenacity, we welcomed world record holder and adventure athlete Adriana Brownlee to Whitecroft.

Adriana, the youngest female to summit the world’s second-highest peak and conquer Mount Everest at 18, shared insights into leadership, teamwork, and resilience through her experiences.

During her speech, Adriana talked through her challenges. She offered parallels in everyday life, providing practical advice for Whitecroft staff to develop their leadership, teamwork, and resilience, fostering personal growth and professional excellence.

The audience engaged with enthusiasm, inspired by Adriana's achievements, seeking additional tips to integrate into their workflows.

"We want someone with challenges and achievements at a young age to motivate the people at Whitecroft," said Jayne Baker, Head of HR and event organizer.

Following Adriana’s talk, Whitecroft’s Director, David Serif, commended and congratulated the graduates on their career milestone.

"It's been a truly inspirational talk; amazing that you had a dream when you were young. It's been absolutely fantastic to listen to," Said Director David Serif in response to Adriana's presentation.

At Whitecroft Lighting, we will always take time to celebrate and commend our staff on their hard-earned achievements, demonstrating our commitment together in enhancing individual professional development. Supporting everyone’s journey at Whitecroft enables them to aim higher, learn new skills, and contribute to the company’s thriving infrastructure.

Visits from inspirational figures like Adriana generate a mindset that encourages individuals to broaden their skills and career development, forging curious creators who are proud to work at Whitecroft.

Congratulations to everyone who graduated; we look forward to seeing your learning in practice and continued progress with us.
