Collaboration and skills development are key to building a stronger future workforce.

We recently welcomed representatives from GM Business Growth Hub to Whitecroft Lighting for a roundtable discussion focused on the future of skills development across Greater Manchester. The session brought together local business leaders to discuss the importance of apprenticeships, T Levels, and developing the skills needed to support future growth.

During the discussion, Whitecroft’s commitment to developing local talent was recognised, with Warren Young, Learning & Development Officer and Julia King, Director of People & Culture, and the wider team highlighted for their proactive approach to skills and workforce development.

Guests also received a tour of our manufacturing facility, providing insight into the impact of Whitecroft’s lighting solutions across healthcare, education, and social spaces, as well as the collaborative and innovative environment within the business.

Patrick Obidoyin, Founder of Digital InfraCo, says "It was incredibly valuable to hear perspectives from business leaders across Greater Manchester on shaping the future of skills; particularly around meeting business needs and increasing engagement with service users.”
