Whitecroft’s Family Fun Day raises a record sum of £10,000 in support of Help for Heroes

Our second Whitecroft Family Fun Day has raised a record sum of £10,000, doubling its initial fundraising target. This means that over the last six years, as a company, we have raised a grand total of £25,000 for Help for Heroes!

This is a tremendous achievement and our sincere thanks go to Christina Lombers, to our Charity Team and also to all who donated and participated in this year’s event.

Our Family Fun Day offered a lot of playful attractions, from a climbing wall and fire engine to an inflatable park and exotic animal zoo, keeping the youngest members of the Whitecroft family busy all the time.

For older participants we had a raffle draw with some fantastic prizes sponsored by our suppliers. This year, some of the prizes won by our staff included high street vouchers and experience days as well as an iPad and a GoPro camera.

But this year’s grand prize was the £2,000 Virgin Holiday voucher to any destination. This highly desired prize went to James Mummery from our Warehouse Department whose lucky number was drawn from over 730 raffle tickets. We would like to say a massive thank you to Tridonic for donating this fantastic prize.

Having enjoyed the day filled with great food, live music and jolly atmosphere, we are already looking forward to the next year’s event.

We would like to thank all Whitecroft Lighting staff for their generous support this year. Help for Heroes will use the donation to continue providing support for serving and reservist army personnel and veterans who have suffered injuries or illness as a result of their service.

The official cheque presentation will take place on 8th August 2017.
