At Whitecroft part of our 10,000m2 design and manufacturing facility is dedicated to our sector specific demonstration areas. Within these areas customers can see the latest product developments in action, with over 50 different products on display.
Our Education Application Area has recently undergone a full refurbishment to bring in the latest innovations in the education sector from primary education through to secondary and higher.
The suite features two classroom lighting examples providing our customers and visitors with real life scenarios for secondary and higher education learning spaces.
Application Area 1 showcases our solutions for recessed, surface and suspended ceilings. We know that classrooms are at the heart of any learning establishment and the most commonly occupied space. The activities undertaken in these learning areas are many and varied and, regardless of the task or age of the user, lighting must accommodate this diversity. Tasks can be both written and digital and the lighting solution should not only provide sufficient illumination on the desk to perform the task, but also consider vertical illuminance, visual acuity and glare.
Application Area 2 demonstrates a modern space with solutions for open soffit ceilings often seen in the higher education buildings. University facilities differ greatly from any other education environment. They are more dynamic and require education lighting solutions that reflect this future-focused learning space. Modern campus buildings are inspirational places, and require lighting that enhances the architectural aesthetic, whilst also providing a comfortably lit environment.
Within our purpose-built Education Application Area we can provide demonstrations including flexible lighting control options to show how luminaires can be integrated with different control technologies in each application showing the latest solutions in education.
