Updated Coronavirus trading position - 3rd April 2020

The last few weeks have been challenging for the UK construction industry, we continue to monitor this fast moving situation and are ready to react to changing government guidelines and customer demands. During the temporary suspension of production last week our operations team have worked hard to implement a number of additional social distancing measures in order to allow us to resume production and keep our employees safe.

 

These include:

  • Split shift working patterns to reduce on site headcount.
  • Flow lines spaced to create a minimum of 2m social distancing between operators.
  • One way pedestrian traffic system implemented factory wide to help maintain social distancing.
  • Signage stating max personnel count per room.
  • Floor markings placed 2m apart in communal areas.
  • Increased and sanitising stations.
  • Signage promoting social distancing.
  • Reverse parking only in car parks to help maintain social distancing.

 

These additional safety measures have impacted the efficiency of our factory and we ask for your understanding over the next few weeks while we get used to these new working practises. In addition, we are currently prioritising the manufacture of bed head luminaires for the temporary NHS hospitals in Harrogate, Glasgow and Manchester. Once complete, we will commence manufacture of all other customer requirements. Stocked items continue to be available as normal.

All of our front line teams continue to work remotely including lighting design and customer support, and remain available on their normal contact numbers and will be happy to help you.
