The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital

The aim of the £842m New South Glasgow Hospital was to integrate two of the city's major hospitals together with the other specialist units on one large site, allowing the adult and children's facilities to benefit from a shared location while maintaining their own distinct identities.

It was the biggest single NHS building project in Scotland and required a huge range of healthcare lighting solutions, from illuminating the vast public atria to lighting specialist areas such as operating theatres and laboratories. Across the new buildings, the requirement was for luminaries that offered an outstanding user experience together with effective infection control and sustainable energy use.
